How to Create a Grant and Allocate Funds to Programs

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Navigate to Grants: In the main menu, click Grants.
  2. Open New Grant Form: Click the + Add New Grant button.
  3. Fill General Info Tab:
    • Grant Name (e.g., The Collective Impact for Equity Grant).
    • Funder Name (e.g., Community Foundation).
    • Total Amount ($) (e.g., 100,000).
    • Start Date and End Date.
  4. Allocate Funds to Programs:
    • Click the Program Allocations tab.
    • Click + Link Program.
    • Use the dropdown to select a program.
    • Enter the Amount to allocate to that program (e.g., 7,000 for Program A).
    • Click Add.
    • Repeat for all programs receiving funds from this grant (e.g., Program B: 50,000).
  5. Save Grant: Click Save Grant.
